Terms of use

BookMyLibrary is a platform where students find study libraries and reading rooms, book seats by the hour (“day pass”), and ask libraries about monthly seats. Libraries are listed and run by independent owners (“partners”). We are not the operator of any library: the owner is responsible for the premises, seats, timings, facilities and fees they list.

• Give your real name, date of birth and a mobile number or email you control. You are responsible for everything done with your account; keep your password and codes private.
• If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must approve your account (by a code sent to their mobile) before you can book seats, write reviews or send enquiries. They accept these terms on your behalf.
• Library owners must be 18 or older and have the right to list the library they add.
• You can delete your account at any time from your Account page.

• A day pass books one seat for the date and hours you choose. The price is shown before you book and is paid at the library; BookMyLibrary does not collect payments at present.
• Monthly memberships are agreed and paid directly between you and the library. The library records your payments and receipts, which you can see under My memberships.
• Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Cancellation & refunds policy.
• Follow the library’s rules. The owner can refuse entry for misconduct.

Reviews must be your own honest experience of a library you booked. Don’t post anything abusive, false, hateful, advertising, or other people’s personal details. We may hide reviews that break these rules. By posting you allow us to show your review, name and photo on BookMyLibrary.

Library listings, photos and text belong to BookMyLibrary or the library owners. Don’t copy, scrape or reuse them. Photos carry a BookMyLibrary mark.

• Listings must be accurate and are reviewed by us before they go live; later changes to key details are reviewed again.
• You may add your students’ details only to run your library, with their knowledge, and must keep them confidential. We store that data for you and act on your instructions.
• We may suspend a listing or account that breaks these terms or misleads students.

• Using BookMyLibrary for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
• Fake bookings, fake accounts, or trying to get around limits (for example sending many codes or enquiries).
• Interfering with the service, or accessing data that isn’t yours.

We may suspend (read-only) or block accounts and listings that break these terms. You can stop using BookMyLibrary and delete your account at any time.

We work to keep BookMyLibrary accurate and available but provide it “as is”. We are not responsible for the premises, services or conduct of libraries or other users. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to [LIABILITY CAP, e.g. ₹1,000]. Nothing here limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.

If we change these terms we will update the version date above and, for important changes, ask you to accept them again. These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at [JURISDICTION CITY] have jurisdiction. For complaints, contact our Grievance officer.
